Fitnfluent serves language enthusiasts as a practice companion. In doing so, it collects a minimal amount of information from users, most of it crucial for the operation of the website. Some additional information is collected for statistical purposes. Details about the collection, storage, and use of information is provided below.

Data collected on this website and their purpose

  • Contact form
    When you send a message by using the contact form ("Contact us"), you will be voluntarily providing your name and email. This information is used to enable proper communication with users, such as answering to queries.
  • Account creation
    When you create an account, you will be voluntarily providing your email. By managing your account, you may, if wish, provide additional personal information about your location (town and country) and country of origin. The email is collected to enable the user-based functionality of the website. The additional information serves statistical purposes, such as to identify visitor trends. Fitnfluent might send infrequent emails to inform registered users about important functionality matters.
  • Practice via exercises
    When generating & solving exercises, general statistical information is collected about the type of exercise, date and approximate time, basic exercise-parameters, and success rates. For registered users, such information is necessary to personalize the user's experience, which includes viewing personal statistics and keeping track of own progress and practice by time. For both guests and registered users, such information serves additionally the monitoring of trends in visitors' behaviour. This is important for identifying improvement directions for the website. For guests, the information is collected on an IP-address-basis and is aggregated on larger time intervals. Whenever the user chooses to enter itself a (copy-pasted) text of their favor as the context for their exercise, that text is only used temporarily for producing the exercise and it is not stored by the website.
